Why do Subaru Outback XT models have a higher towing capacity?

The Outback XT features an increase in power and torque over the naturally aspirated Outback variants. The Outback XT also features revised rear suspension and brake pads to accommodate the increased towing capacity.

What accessories do I need to tow with a Subaru Outback?
