Subaru has continued its remarkable run of 2021 sales success with a tally of 3,547 in May, according to official VFACTS figures released today.
Subaru continues to outperform the market, with sales up 75.3% for the month, compared to a market increase of 68.3%. Subaru year-on-year sales are up 52.7%, against the market of 37.5%
Strongest May performer for Subaru was Forester with 1,307 sales, up 85.9%, compared to its segment increase of 50.8%.
Outback achieved 931 sales, up a notable 179.6% for the month and 159.3% year-to-date.
XV sales of 758 were up 33.2% for the month and 21.8% YTD.
In the performance stable, WRX sales were up 120.8% for the month and 60.2% YTD, while Impreza sales of 353 were up 45.9% for the month and 25.0% YTD.
Subaru General Manager, Blair Read, said: “It’s been another outstanding month with the Subaru dealer network welcoming new and returning customers to the brand.
“Our SUV range in particular continues to resonate strongly with customers, and with our Model Year 2022 Forester due in the next couple of months, our stock is at an absolute premium.”
