The Subaru BRZ has been crowned Australia’s best-selling sportscar for 2023. The outstanding success of the second-generation BRZ saw a total of 1,573 units delivered, outpacing the competition in the segment to claim the number one sportscar ahead of Ford Mustang, BMW 2 series and Toyota GR86.
The BRZ has captivated sportscar enthusiasts with its exceptional performance, handling, an all-round fun, and unique driver’s package. And the BRZ owner community continues to grow with 2023 being a record annual sales volume and marking an impressive 35% increase on the prior year.
Subaru Australia’s Managing Director, Blair Read, expressed his pride in this achievement, commenting, "We are very proud to have a record number of BRZ owners join the Subaru family in 2023 and enjoy what is a fantastic all-round Sportscar. BRZ being named Australia’s best-selling sportscar is further recognition of the exceptional value BRZ offers to driving enthusiasts.
As Subaru looks forward to another promising year ahead, the introduction of the all-new BRZ tS in January 2024 – hailed as the best-performing BRZ ever – is poised to elevate the BRZ’s legacy further and continue to extend its appeal to a range of driving enthusiasts.
Moreover, Subaru will also introduce its renown EyeSight® Driver Assist technology in manual transmission BRZ in 2024, amplifying safety and driver assistance features to complement the car’s performance and continue Subaru Corporation’s pursuit Towards Zero*.
"BRZ continues to enhance its offering and as we prepare for the 2024 line-up, the introduction of the new BRZ tS and EyeSight® in manual models underscores our steadfast commitment to innovation, safety and providing first-rate driving experiences," stated Mr. Read.
