Bill Woods

Mr. Woods has been in broadcasting for thirty years. His background includes television production, reporting and presenting. He has been with Network Ten for more than twenty years, and currently co-hosts Ten News at Five in Sydney with Sandra Sully. His first broadcasting role was as a DJ for country radio station 2BS in 1983.

Some career highlights...

• Won five Logie awards with Network Ten for television production: four for the Bathurst 1000 coverage, which he also anchored, and one for the 1994 Commonwealth Games from Victoria, Canada.
• Commentated the Australian F1 Grand Prix, Federal Election Telecasts, Australian Motogp, the Gold Coast Indy, Triathlon Grand Prix, NBL Basketball, International Rugby, Australian Ladies Masters Golf and the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
• Published El Magic: The Life of Hazem El Masri, a biography of the rugby league player.
• Published Legends Of Speed, a best-seller about Australia’s great race car drivers.
